Standard Panel Quantity & Profile Examples
EXPLOT boards have a wide profile of 161.5mm (2000mm length) giving a 1.92m height profile for 12 boards compared to 1.80m for narrow 150mm competitor boards:
| System / Profile | Board Spec & Price | 12-Board Stack Installed Height | 12-Board Pack Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| EXPLOT UK Premium System | 2.0m × 161.5mm (£12 – £14) | 1.92m (6ft 4in High Cover) | £144.00 – £168.00 |
| Generic Market Competitors (“Others”) | 1.8m × 150.0mm (£14 – £22) | 1.80m (6ft Standard Height) | £168.00 – £264.00 |
Installation Fixing Method Specifications
| Installation Method | Recommended Post Spec | Structural Requirement & Notes |
|---|---|---|
| In-Ground Installation | 2.4m Aluminium Post | Dig approx. 600mm deep footings; set posts in post-mix concrete for rigid storm support. |
| Base-Plate / Bolt-Down | 1.8m Post + Steel Baseplate | Anchor heavy-duty steel baseplate to solid concrete base or wall using expansion anchors. |
2m vs 1.8m Composite Board Calculator FAQs
Are 2m composite fence boards more efficient than 1.8m boards?
Longer boards can reduce section count on some fence lengths. For example, a nominal 10m straight run can be represented by five 2m board lengths compared with six 1.8m lengths. Actual installed requirements depend on the fencing system, posts, clearances and layout.
How do I calculate how many WPC fence boards I need?
Divide your total boundary length by the board length (2.0m for EXPLOT) to get section count. Then divide panel height by board cover height (160mm) to get horizontal rows per section.
What is the weight profile of EXPLOT UK composite fence boards?
Our WPC composite fence boards are around 2.54kg/m, which equals approximately 5kg per 2.0m board.
